Ice fishing in the Northwoods has been fantastic. A lot of favorable reports on walleye fishing and panfish in the region.

Ice Fishing this week in the Northwoods of WI has been great. The ice is in great condition with most lakes having approximately 10"-13" of ice.

If you are new to ice fishing and are planning to get your start this season, here are some tips for first timers to ensure that you find success!

As we slide into mid December, erratic weather patterns have really made the early ice fisherman's season precarious at best.

There are a few of the lakes that are still open here in the Northwoods of WI. Water temps on the lakes with open water are 33-35 degrees.

If you're brave enough to continue fishing in chilly temps, then this is the report for you.  Late November has taken the swing into the much colder temperatures of fall.
