Shop some of our Hot Fall Trolling Lures
Some might say that musky fishing will always be the fish of 10,000 casts, but since its fall, why not interject a few trolling passes to relax, drink some coffee, and enjoy the shorter days? As fall is upon us and lake turnover is moving into the rearview, picking up some new trolling lures for fall is the best way to add some spark to your tackle arsenal. Musky Shop carries all of the best line-ups for trolling success as long as you can put the lure in the line of a monster.
New this season at the Musky Shop are plenty of trolling lures to put you in the fishing spirit, starting with the Smith Lures Beast Spoons. These Beast spoons are great for trolling speeds of 2-4 mph. Add a clip-on weight to the front for extra depth on this 5oz spoon. They come with life-like laser-etched images on one side and a shiny UV pearl coat on the other, giving them great reflective flash as they twist and turn when trolling. Spoons are a tried-and-true method of landing monsters during the fall trolling season, so give the oversized ones a try.
Next up for this year is the Supernatural Big Baits Jointed Headlock. Don’t let the price tag scare you away on these headlocks. They are built like a tank to last for years to come. As long as you have the right setup, these lures will troll with you ‘til the end of time with multiple cracks and whacks barely making a scratch. Supernatural Big Baits have a super thick 4-layer epoxy and a metal lip, affording them maximum hooking power and longevity after taking a beating. Jointed Headlocks will work at slower speeds, but really rock in the 4-6mph zone. This encourages maximum wander and shimmy. Don’t miss out as these lures are limited in number.
For a crank that will really make the muskies crazy, check out the Spanky Baits M9. Though you should feel free to cast the M9, it really stands out when trolled. This lure was designed with super hard resin and a line-through design to stand up to the hardest headshakes and headshots. It dives down perfectly and has a really erratic wobble as it moves through the water. Get extra turbulent and let it run in your prop wash for the ultimate musky snack. This lure is a great addition to your fall tackle assortment this year.
Another hot trolling crank, the jointed Legend Lures Out-Cast. This 9” beast brings some extra flair with its jointed back end and also likes to run its best in that 4mph zone. When trolled the Out-Cast is great for that first break as it hangs around the 6’ zone. It will keep the momentum going and is made out of heavy-duty tooth-proof plastic, to ensure that you can catch monsters over and over again.
When it comes to trolling, Musky Shop has all of the gear you need, so think of us when you’re getting out on the water and we hope you try some of these amazing lures this season from some really great companies.
