Lake Laura is not the typical fair when it comes to the Northwoods' most sought-after musky lakes, but it is something to be appreciated and fished when you're looking for a relaxed getaway.

It’s time again for another Lake of the Month here in Northern Wisconsin and any “to fish” list wouldn’t be complete during ice season without a line for Boom Lake in Rhinelander.

Star Lake in Vilas County is an interesting horseshoe-shaped lake that lies about 30 minutes northeast of Minocqua.

Named after the local population of American White Pelicans, Pelican Lake is an enchanting and abundant place for not only muskies, but pike, walleye, and panfish, if you have a stable watercraft and a lot of time on your hands.

Lost Lake is just a few minutes from downtown St. Germain and offers some excellent Class A musky fishing waters.
