Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All from Jim Stewart
To our Dear Friends and Anglers,
We hope all of you are finding time to fish in open water in your area or in ice fishing in areas with good ice cover. Here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, most of our lakes have 4"- 6" of ice. In any case, we hope you find time to get out on the water or on the ice and enjoy God's creation.
In mentioning God's creation, I am very thankful for the Christmas season. Now, I have some flaws, and I may or may not grumble a bit sometimes about getting together at a few different Christmas gatherings, but I have to remind myself that the real reason for the season is the birth of Jesus Christ.
As we give and share gifts at Christmas, to me, the Greatest gift is the birth of Jesus Christ. In giving and receiving gifts at Christmas, we celebrate symbolically how God created his Son Jesus being born through Mary, then living as a man and then dying on the cross for our sins for all of those who receive his gift (salvation). In my mind, it's like God gave us a gift (his Son Jesus), and for those who receive his gift (salvation), God's word in Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
I am very thankful to God for giving us this free gift (Jesus Christ), and I certainly receive his gift (salvation). I show this by applying Romans 10:9 in my life, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Thank you to all for supporting our business; we greatly appreciate it. From all of us at the Musky Shop, we hope you have a Wonderful Christmas.
God Bless, Jim Stewart
